  • Small, globular to slightly cylindrical body (about 3–10 cm tall)
  • Color ranges from greenish-grey to brownish-purple
  • Surface often warty or textured
  • Leafless, giving it a stone-like look (hence the name “Pseudolithos” = “false stone”)
  • Flowers are small, star-shaped, and usually appear near the base of the stem
